The Ageless Beauty Box by Alice Hart-Davis

Ooooh how I love a good beauty box! As much as I love them, I don't subscribe to any regular boxes, just because I like to know what's in the box before I hand over my husband's well earned cash! I've actually got my Mam and her friend to thank for this one though. as they spotted the offer in the Daily Mail, and my Mam ordered herself one, and an extra one for me, knowing I'd love it.

Beauty Journalist Alice Hart-Davis has created the Ageless Beauty Box for the Daily Mail, with over £125 worth of products for just £21.99 (including p&p). She writes;

I'm Alice Hart-Davis and this is my Ageless Beauty box for the Daily Mail. I’m a beauty journalist and I write for many publications including the Daily Mail, the Times, Woman & Home, GQ and YOU magazine as well as working as a consultant with major beauty brands, so I get to try a lot of really extraordinary beauty products and this box contains some of my top favourites. It’s also a complete bargain, with over £100 of savings. I hope you enjoy it!

The box contains:

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. RRP £9
BioEffect EGF Serum. RRP £30
Olay Regenerist Regenerating Moisture Night Cream. RRP £21.49
Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex. RRP £7.99
St Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower. RRP £14.50
Studio 10 Visible Lift Face Definer. RRP £30
Nails Inc Nail Polish - Elm Park Gardens. RRP £14

SO impressed with this one!! I've been wanting to try both the St Tropez Gradual Tan & the First Aid Beauty Cream for ages, but I'm seriously happy with every product in the box. I've never heard of Studio 10, but I'm really impressed with the contour palette. I'll probably do separate reviews of a couple of the products, so keep your eyes peeled.

The Ageless Beauty Box can still be purchased from All Boxed Up for just £21.99 now.

Instant Whites 7 Day Teeth Whitening System | First Impressions

We all want that Hollywood smile, but let's face it, our teeth are never gonna be Simon Cowell-esque without a little extra help. No matter how much we brush and floss them, the normal every day things we do such as drinking copious amounts of tea and coffee will always cause the teeth to become less white over time. I've tried a few different at-home methods in the past and had pretty good results, but some, such as the whitening strips, can be known to cause sensitivity, so I don't like to use them too often. The latest, and easiest yet, is the Instant Whites 7 Day Whitening System* (£29.99), claiming you'll see visible results in less than 5 minutes, with zero sensitivity. Pretty big claims yes?

This system is different from any other I've seen or heard of. The kit contains 7 liquid filled swabs, and you simply have to collapse the two ends together into the liquid, until the swab becomes moist. You then gently coat each tooth, leave for 5 minutes and rinse. SO much better than having awkward strips or mouth guards clogging up your mouth for 20 minutes.

I haven't completed the full 7-Day system yet, but I've done 4 days and have already noticed such a difference. My teeth looked slightly brighter even after the first use, so these would be really handy to keep for special occasions as a quick fix. I definitely love how easy they are to use. There's no unpleasant taste or awkward long-wait. I haven't experienced any discomfort or sensitivity, so it's thumbs up all round from me.

How do you keep your teeth white?

You may or may not know this, but there's been so much hype surrounding the Nivea Men Sensitive Post-Shave Balm recently. Why? You ask? Well, it's been dubbed the world's best PRIMER.

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette

NYX have recently taken the UK by storm, and are now available at Boots... can I get a woop woop? I love NYX as a brand. The products are super afforable, always on trend and their quality rivals high end brands such as MAC & Benefit. I recently picked up their  Highlight & Contour Pro Palette, so naturally I wanted to share my views...

March Favourites

Cliché alert!!! - Asif it's already April! How and when did this happen? Eeeee. A fresh month means another monthly favourites post...

This month I've been opting for more Spring hues in my makeup, with pink lips & cheeks, dewy skin and allllll the highlight! I've been absolutely loving the YSL Le Teint Touché Eclat Foundation since I bought it last month. It's the dewiest, most beautiful base and I'd recommend it to anyone. Review coming soon! I recently picked up the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette and there's one shade in particular that really stands out to me (it's called sculpt). I've been using it as a contour shade but also doubling it up as an eyeshadow crease shade and it works really well! I love matte browns that are ash toned as opposed to warm, as I don't think warm tones suit me on my eyes. For blush, I've been opting for the most perfect subtle pink in my collection - Benefit Dandelion. It just adds a 'barely there' flush of colour which is ideal for Spring. The highlight I've been reaching for most has got to be MAC Soft & Gentle MSF. By far the most beautiful highlight in my stash (although tbf, I don't own theBalm's Mary Lou - yet!). On the lips, I've been opting for a similar shade, MAC's Creme Cup. It's a classic! A blue toned, pale pink that I suspect will look great on most skin tones. Lastly, I'm pretty lazy when it comes to body care, often forgetting to moisturise daily. The Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturisers are great for the lazy girl like me. They're so quick and easy and actually work really well. I've been loving the Cocoa Radiant scent, which smells good enough to eat. I love the formulas of these and need to stock up on some more.

What have you been loving in March?

Keeping Blonde Bright with Touch of Silver

They say blondes have more fun, but when it comes to washing our hair, it's a lot more high maintenance and not really fun at all. In order to keep blonde from looking brassy and yellow, a purple/silver shampoo is often needed. The reason for this is the violet pigments in the shampoo aim to neutralise brassy tones and brighten the hair overall. I was very kindly sent a few products from the Pro:Voke Touch of Silver range to try.

The Pre Toning Primer* (£5), is one that's new to me. I've never used such a product. It's formulated to use as a pre-shampoo primer, to prep the hair for even toning (but can also be used as a leave-in conditioner). You simply spray onto wet hair, comb through and rinse, before going in with the Brightening Shampoo* (£3.19) and Intensive Conditioner* (£3.19).

I noticed a difference after just one use with this 3 step system, which is amazing. My hair looked a lot shinier, brighter and less brassy. The shampoo lathers well and the conditioner leaves my hair tangle free and soft. The whole range smells amazing and is such a bargain price for what it does! I'll probably use it every other wash to keep my blonde bright.
