Lush Christmas Haul

Ahhhh hello Lush. It's been a while. I popped into my local Lush recently and errrm, went a bit wild. I'm obsessed with their bath bombs at the best of times, so gimme a limited edition Christmas selection and I'm yours. I needed a new lip scrub, but the rest were just because....

Father Christmas Bath Bomb | £3.75 | link
Santasaurus Reusable Bubble Bar | £5.95 | link
Shoot For The Stars | £4.25 | link
Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub | £5.75 | link
Mistletoe Bath Bomb | £4.25 | link
So White Bath Bomb | £4.25 | link
Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb | £4.25 | link

When I got home I noticed they'd popped a little extra something in the bag with a little 'pay it forward' card. They said it was their act of kindness and they just wanted me to pass on the kindness. How lovely. I got the Outback Mate Soap, which smells absolutely divine. I rarely buy soaps from Lush but the one's I've had I've loved.

Have you had any of the Lush Christmas range?

For Benefit Lovers

Well hellooo! Now I'm being cheeky here and actually blogging one of my own Christmas presents - I know, it's a new low! Hubby said it had to go away for Christmas but I just had to show you all first before it goes out of stock forever! Say hello to Benefit's Dolly Darling Gift Set...

This limited edition gift set contains 4 of their best sellers, 3 of which are full size.. ho ho hooo...

Gimme Brow in 03 Medium (fun size)
Hoola Bronzer
The POREfessional
Roller Lash Mascara

Retailing at £44.50, this limited edition Christmas set is actually worth £73, a bargain in itself. We grabbed it when ASOS had 20% so I've got a massive chuffy on. Love a beauty bargain! I absolutely love Hoola and Roller Lash especially so I'm so happy to get my hands on this set.

Get yours here, if you can.

New B&M Winter Candles

I spoke recently about the amazing Bath & Body Works Candle Dupes in B&M (post here), and how everyone went crazy for them. Well they're back with a whole new Winter range... and they're GORGEOUS!!

The winter versions include the cutest snowflake-embossed lids and the same double-wicks. They burn so evenly and last at least 20hours. Which, for £2.99 is an absolute steal!! I managed to get my hands on 3 but I've seen at least one more (which I need 😂).

Iced Candy - Fresh & Sweet
Frosted Cranberry - Sweet Berry
Winter Mist - Fresh, Fruity Scent
(Wow, I'm so bad at describing candles, ha)

All I'm saying is.. get to B&M!

Christmas At The Body Shop

It's DECEMBER!! EEEEK! I thought I'd kick start the best month of the year with some amazing Christmas goodies from The Body Shop. I was very kindly invited to my local store last month to view their new Christmas range (we even had Prosecco & Bucks Fizz flavour crisps & bubbly - yum!). They had an offer where if you spend £30 in store you get double points PLUS a free gift worth £20. (NOTE: On 1 & 2 December they will have a similar offer but this time the free gift is worth £30 -2 days only). Anyway, I picked up a couple of Christmas bits as well as one of their new face masks, I then claimed my free gift and the lovely ladies also threw in a couple of extras for me to enjoy. There was SO much to choose from I didn't know where to look first. Obviously I needed to see what Christmassy smells were released this year. They've brought out Frosted Berries, Spiced Apple & Vanilla Chai. I absolutely adore Frosted Berries & Spiced Apple. Vanilla Chai is also beautiful but I get a bit sick of Vanilla scents so I went for the other two. They also have huuuge advent calendars and tonnes of awesome gift sets. I ended up coming home with...

Frosted Berries Treat Box £8

Fuji Green Tea Festive Picks £20

How amazing!!? They have so many other gorgeous sets available that would make perfect gifts. Get yourselves down to The Body Shop ASAP!!

SEVENTEEN Mega Matte Lipsticks

Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks

As I've said before, SEVENTEEN are one of my favourite highstreet brands. They're so on trend and are always bringing out exciting new releases. They're unbelievably affordable and the quality rivals some of the more expensive brands for sure. I was very kindly sent 3 of their new Mega Matte Lipsticks* of my choice, so decided to go for 3 brights for a change.

Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks

Coral of the Story* - Cool Toned Coral Pink
Orange You Gorgeous* - Bright Orange
Violet Summer* - Vibrant Purple

Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks
Ok so they're not the most autumn/winter shades (apart from perhaps the purple) but I know I'm gonna love these next spring/summer. They have a massive range of shades so I'm sure there'll be at least one to suit everyone. I love the packaging and the shape of the bullet is one of my favourites. The flat edge makes application so easy and the formula of these glide on so smoothly. They dry down to a complete matte finish. They're slightly on the dry side, so I like to apply lip balm first. They last pretty well throughout the day and fade evenly leaving a stain behind. For £4.49 these are worth checking out for sure.

B&BW Autumn Candle Dupes

Bath & Body Works Candle Dupes B&M

B&BW B&M Candle Dupes
I'm sure you'll have heard about these by now, but if not? Where've ya been like? So the US brand Bath & Body Works do the most instagram-worthy candles and apparently they smell amazing. However, they're really tricky to get hold of here in the UK and I'm not one for hopping on a plane to the US willy-nilly, so when I heard about these dupes from... wait for it... B&M, I did a little dance and ran out to get some. I'm not even joking when I say I visited 4 different B&M's in my area before I actually found a couple of scents. Damn you eager beavers getting there before me.

With their silver leaf-embossed lids, they're blatent knock-offs of the B&BW candles, but that's ok! They're so pretty, and for £2.99 for a double-wicked candle I think they're an absolute steal. I managed to pick up Apple Orchard (a spicy, red apple scent) and Radiant Red Maple (a sweet, vanilla scent with a hint of spice). I really wanted Brown Sugar Allspice too but I couldn't find it anywhere. Boooo.

Because of the double wick, they burn really evenly and clean. It says they burn for 25 hours but I suspect they have a little bit less than that, which is still fine by me for £2.99.

Next on my list.... the winter/christmas varieties!!

Maybelline Superstay 7 Days Gel Metallic Silks

Metallic nails seem to be everywhere at the minute don't they? I was very kindly sent the new Maybelline Superstay 7 Days Gel Metallic Silks* collection and I'm seriously impressed. For me, gel nails are the best and I love to get them done regularly (finances permitting). But when I'm not wearing gels, I like to experiment with regular nail polish, and I've been loving these lately. For a regular polish, the staying power is really impressive. I get 7 days at least without chipping and they're opaque in just one coat, although I like to do 2 just to be sure. The brush is my favourite kind - fat and flat (ha!). It makes application a dream and so quick.

The collection consists of 3 shades; Rose Veil, Silver Satin & Golden Thread. They look impressive as a full set, although I've been choosing to use them as an accent nail which looks fab.

Rose Veil has to be my favourite. The most beautiful metallic rose gold shade that goes perfectly with a burgundy nail polish on the other fingers.

For £4.49, these are an absolute steal and not to be missed.

The Autumn Edit

The Autumn Beauty Edit 2016

Hellloooo beauties and welcome to #AutumnWeek Day 1. I've got a whole week of Autumn-themed posts for your pleasure. Thank me later! Autumn is certainly in full swing now isn't it. The leaves are covering the ground with their beautiful ginger glow and many of the conkers have already been swiped from the trees. I really love this season; going for walks with the boys, cosying up at home with spicy candles and not to mention the mince pies are back in Greggs. YEAH BOI! Anyway, aside from that, the autumnal makeup is always the best, so I thought I'd put together my top picks for this season.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr *NEW SHADES* AW16

Maybelline Color Tattoo Breathless & Fantasy
Maybelline Color Tattoo Breathless & Fantasy
Maybelline Color Tattoos have to be the best cream eyeshadows on the highstreet/drugstore.  I think they were actually the first cream eyeshadows I tried and they stole my heart from then on. They're highly pigmented, creamy, longwearing and come in some fabulous shades. Naturally, they've received so much hype over the years in both the UK and the US. It's always exciting when we get new shades here in the UK as I know the US always seem to get a lot more than we do. I'm not sure how many new shades have been released, but I was very kindly sent the shades Breathless* & Fantasy* as part of their AW16 releases and they're both such stunning everyday neutrals.

New Rimmel Treats

I love nothing more than the 'fresh faced' look, so when Rimmel brought out the new Fresher Skin Foundation, I had to give it a go! I'm a massive fan of Rimmel Foundations (their Match Perfection being one of my all time favourites), so I had high hopes for this one. When I went to pick it up it was on a 2 for £10 offer, so I also decided to try one of the new Royal Blush Cream Blushers in the shade #002 Majestic Pink.

Maybelline Color Show Jelly Tints Nail Polishes

Maybelline Color Show Jelly Tints Nail Polishes
I've got a ridiculous amount of nail polishes in my stash, although I do like to get gel nails done professionally by my local Nail Queen as often as I can. I was recently sent some of the Maybelline Color Show Jelly Tints* nail polishes and I have to admit they're a lot different to any other polishes I own.
I know we're heading into Autumn now and these are more Summery shades but hey, everyone loves a bright nail right?!

What I Got For My Birthday

So I turned 29 (wahhhhhhhhh sad face) on 27th August, and even though I was slightly depressed that I was hitting the final year of my 20's, I was still buzzing cos I love a birthday. Who doesn't? I was overwhelmed with all of my lovely gifts and well wishes so it did make up for this devastating fact. I was one spoilt girly this year, so naturally I wanted to show you all what I got (and no, I'm not bragging, I just know these kinds of posts always go down well, and they're one of my favourite posts to read sooooo yeah).

I love trying out new subscription boxes, it's such a great way of trying new products you wouldn't usually go for. After having a break from getting gel manicures (mainly due to money), I've been going back to painting my own nails with regular polish, so the idea of a nail subscription box really appealed to me.

I know I need to get back into the swing of things as it always relaxes me and I really enjoy it. Aaaaanyway, enough of my moaning. June Favourites

Hii babesssss. I'm back after what seems like an absolute age. I've just been so busy and have been away to Butlins with the little ones so I've just had no time to do any blogging. Although to be honest I may have got a little bit hooked on The Sims 4. #soznotsoz. Anyway, I thought a favourites post was the best way to get back into the swing of things....

Botanics 100% Organic Facial Oil | link
I had a little spell of not using a facial oil in my routine (I ran out) and boy did my skin know about it. So I picked up an old favourite again and my skin feels and looks so much better. I have a healthy glow back. This one is really thick without being overly greasy and feels so luxurious for the price. (£9.99)

SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Tan Liquid Glow* | link
I'm sure I've spoke about this before, but I've been loving this under my foundation to give a healthy tanned glow. I'm thinking it's pretty similar to Benefit's new Dew The Hoola, but with added shimmer.

Sleek Cream Contour Kit | link
I wanted to try this bad boy as soon as it was released and I wasn't disappointed. It contains 6 shades from light to dark and they're all so creamy and blendable. I'll probs do a full review with swatches soon.

Maybelline Baby Lips Pop Art Lip Balm in Blueberry Boom* | link
My last post was on the new Baby Lips collections of lip balms and glosses. My favourite of the bunch has got to be the Blueberry Boom lip balm. It's a vibrant purple with a sheer finish. Super moisturising and tastes of blueberry. Yummy!

Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Sheer Love | link
I'd heard so much about these body mists and have seen them all over Instagram, so when I spotted them on offer for £7.50 in Superdrug I thought I'd pick one up. Sheer Love is soft and floral and perfect for summer. I've been spritzing this every day and I love how they stick around. Great as an extra fresh scent.

What have you been loving this month?

p.s. fuming about the weather lately! Errrrm it's July tomorrow, where's the summer?

NEW IN: Baby Lips

Remember everyone going positively wild for Baby Lips? Well they're back with some limited edition balms and a brand new collection of lip glosses....

Baby Lips Moisturising Lip Gloss* | £4.99 | link

The new Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturising Lip Glosses* are available in 7 shades. These actually remind me of those lip glosses I used to get in magazines when I was about 7. A couple of the shades (the blatant 90's glitter ones) are freakishly similar to be honest, but then the others are certainly more wearable. They all feel moisturising on the lips without being sticky, and they're sheer enough to wear alone or on top of lipstick to add shine. They're very subtle but great if you want a moisturising sheen. Some of the names are a bit cringe. I'd say they're definitely aimed at the younger generation.

NEW Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturising Lip Gloss Collection

Shades from L to R:

05 Wink of Pink - Raspberry Pink with Glitter
10 Fuschia Flicker - Bright Pink with Glitter
15 Pink-A-Boo - Pale Pink (applies almost clear)
20 Taupe With Me - Pale Taupe
25 Life's A Peach - Peachy Pink
30 Pink Pizzaz - Candy Pink
35 Fab & Fuchsia - Raspberry Pink

Baby Lips Pop Art Lip Balms* Limited Edition | £2.99 | link

A picture of Maybelline Baby Lips Pop Art Limited Edition Collection

Baby Lips Lip Balms are some of my favourites. They are incredibly moisturising, smell amazing and come in some fabulous shades. They've recently released the Baby Lips Pop Art Lip Balms* in 3 shades and some very funky packaging.

A picture of new Maybelline Baby Lips Pop Art Limited Edition Collection

Shades from L to R:

17 Grapefruit Zing - Deep Pink. Well pigmented. Feels very fresh. Citrus scent.
18 Blueberry Boom - Vibrant purple. Slightly more sheer than ^. Blueberry scent.
19 Bubblegum Pop - Pale Pink. Sheer, frosty finish. Bubblegum scent.

All 3 are gorgeous and are most certainly worth their £2.99 price tag! Be quick, they won't be around forever!

What do you think of Maybelline's newest releases?
