SEVENTEEN Mega Matte Lipsticks

Seventeen Mega Matte Lipsticks

As I've said before, SEVENTEEN are one of my favourite highstreet brands. They're so on trend and are always bringing out exciting new releases. They're unbelievably affordable and the quality rivals some of the more expensive brands for sure. I was very kindly sent 3 of their new Mega Matte Lipsticks* of my choice, so decided to go for 3 brights for a change.

Orange You Gorgeous* - Bright Orange
Violet Summer* - Vibrant Purple

Ok so they're not the most autumn/winter shades (apart from perhaps the purple) but I know I'm gonna love these next spring/summer. They have a massive range of shades so I'm sure there'll be at least one to suit everyone. I love the packaging and the shape of the bullet is one of my favourites. The flat edge makes application so easy and the formula of these glide on so smoothly. They dry down to a complete matte finish. They're slightly on the dry side, so I like to apply lip balm first. They last pretty well throughout the day and fade evenly leaving a stain behind. For £4.49 these are worth checking out for sure.

B&BW Autumn Candle Dupes

Bath & Body Works Candle Dupes B&M

B&BW B&M Candle Dupes
I'm sure you'll have heard about these by now, but if not? Where've ya been like? So the US brand Bath & Body Works do the most instagram-worthy candles and apparently they smell amazing. However, they're really tricky to get hold of here in the UK and I'm not one for hopping on a plane to the US willy-nilly, so when I heard about these dupes from... wait for it... B&M, I did a little dance and ran out to get some. I'm not even joking when I say I visited 4 different B&M's in my area before I actually found a couple of scents. Damn you eager beavers getting there before me.

With their silver leaf-embossed lids, they're blatent knock-offs of the B&BW candles, but that's ok! They're so pretty, and for £2.99 for a double-wicked candle I think they're an absolute steal. I managed to pick up Apple Orchard (a spicy, red apple scent) and Radiant Red Maple (a sweet, vanilla scent with a hint of spice). I really wanted Brown Sugar Allspice too but I couldn't find it anywhere. Boooo.

Because of the double wick, they burn really evenly and clean. It says they burn for 25 hours but I suspect they have a little bit less than that, which is still fine by me for £2.99.

Next on my list.... the winter/christmas varieties!!

Maybelline Superstay 7 Days Gel Metallic Silks

Metallic nails seem to be everywhere at the minute don't they? I was very kindly sent the new Maybelline Superstay 7 Days Gel Metallic Silks* collection and I'm seriously impressed. For me, gel nails are the best and I love to get them done regularly (finances permitting). But when I'm not wearing gels, I like to experiment with regular nail polish, and I've been loving these lately. For a regular polish, the staying power is really impressive. I get 7 days at least without chipping and they're opaque in just one coat, although I like to do 2 just to be sure. The brush is my favourite kind - fat and flat (ha!). It makes application a dream and so quick.

The collection consists of 3 shades; Rose Veil, Silver Satin & Golden Thread. They look impressive as a full set, although I've been choosing to use them as an accent nail which looks fab.

Rose Veil has to be my favourite. The most beautiful metallic rose gold shade that goes perfectly with a burgundy nail polish on the other fingers.

For £4.49, these are an absolute steal and not to be missed.
