The Autumn Edit

The Autumn Beauty Edit 2016

Hellloooo beauties and welcome to #AutumnWeek Day 1. I've got a whole week of Autumn-themed posts for your pleasure. Thank me later! Autumn is certainly in full swing now isn't it. The leaves are covering the ground with their beautiful ginger glow and many of the conkers have already been swiped from the trees. I really love this season; going for walks with the boys, cosying up at home with spicy candles and not to mention the mince pies are back in Greggs. YEAH BOI! Anyway, aside from that, the autumnal makeup is always the best, so I thought I'd put together my top picks for this season.

For the eyes, I've been loving some new releases. Maybelline released some new shades in their Color Tattoo range (see my post here), and I've been loving the shade Fantasy*. It's the most beautiful taupey brown nude and it's great both on it's own or as a base. Sleek's new i-Divine eyeshadow palette in Goodnight Sweetheart* is packed full of autumnal shades and as always with Sleek, the formulas of these shades are perfect.

On the cheeks I always like to go a little bit deeper. Two firm favourites which I think I actually mentioned last autumn have to be MAC's Good Girl Gone Bad blusher from their collaboration with badgal RIRI - a beautiful rusty coral shade and looks so healthy on the cheeks, and Sleek's Rose Gold Blush; a deep pink with slight gold shimmer (an apparent dupe for NARS Orgasm).

The multitasker of the season has to be the SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze*. A £4.99 dupe of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, this bad boy can be used as a blush, a golden-goddess style highlight and even works as a fantastic mini eyeshadow palette. It even got a whole post dedicated to it last Autumn - here.

For the lips, it's all about the berries and plums for this time of year. Obviously I've dug out the old faithful Rimmel Kate Moss 107, but I've also been crushing on some new releases too. Maybelline have added some new shades to their Color Sensational Matte lipsticks, and I've fallen massively for 886 Berry Bossy*. Just the most beautiful shade for this time of year and it's so wearable for both day and night. For something a bit more 'in your face' there's the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Berry Boost*.  When I wear a dark lip, I always like to use a lip liner to prevent bleeding and keep the sharp lines. Two of my faves are the Natural Collection Lip Lines Pencil in Plum* and the Essence Lip Liner in Soft Berry. Both absolute bargains FYI! There's also some new Autumnal shades in the Baby Lips line which are so perfect, but more on those tomorrow ;-)
