I love nothing more than the 'fresh faced' look, so when Rimmel brought out the new Fresher Skin Foundation, I had to give it a go! I'm a massive fan of Rimmel Foundations (their Match Perfection being one of my all time favourites), so I had high hopes for this one. When I went to pick it up it was on a 2 for £10 offer, so I also decided to try one of the new Royal Blush Cream Blushers in the shade #002 Majestic Pink.
I went for the shade 400 Natural Beige in the foundation, and even though it's slightly too dark when I'm not tanned, it still looks ok if I blend it down my neck. It comes housed in a round glass pot which I actually quite like, although I know a lot of people prefer a pump. It's almost like a whipped mousse in texture, and it's so easy to blend into the skin. I love the finish this gives. I'd say it's a sheer to medium coverage which is buildable if you need to. It gives a healthy, lit-from-within glow and looks so natural. One thing I will say is that it can get quite patchy throughout the day if you don't set it with powder. I'm not sure if I just notice this more because the shade is a little too dark for me. I'm definitely gonna pick this up in the shade below just to see how it fairs.
My favourite kind of blush is a cream blush. I just love the finish they give. These ones are a cream to powder formula which is perfect for my skin. There's 3 shades in the new Royal Blush lineup:
001 Peach Jewel - Orangey Peach
002 Majestic Pink - Universal Pink
003 Coral Queen - Deeper Coral Pink
They almost melt upon contact with the skin and dry to a velvet finish. Everything I want in a cream blush. I definitely wanna try the other 2 shades.
Have you tried any of Rimmel's newest offerings?
