Maybelline, you're smashing it with your new releases babes! I received an amazing package towards the end of the Summer with some of their fab new Autumn releases. I'm trying to make my way through them all to give my thoughts in time for the new season. Today I've got some beautiful new matte lip offerings. After success of the Color Sensational Matte lipsticks, they've unleashed 8 new mattes; 4 Creamy Mattes & 4 Loaded Bolds.

The Loaded Bolds are, as you can see, so vibrant and out there. I absolutely LOVE an orange lip so was pleased to see a bright orange in there, but for Autumn I'm gonna be all over Midnight Merlot & Berry Bossy. All 4 are so creamy and comfortable to wear. I'd say they definitely need a lip liner to prevent any bleeding due to the fact they're so creamy.

The Creamy Mattes feel very similar in formula to the Loaded Bolds to be honest so not sure if they even differ at all. They are extremely pigmented and very creamy so the same lip liner advice applies with these ones. The shades are a lot more wearable and not as vibrant as the loaded bolds, so I assume these will be slightly more popular. Even though they're really creamy, I'd say they do get drier and have a tendency to wear off in about 2 hours. The same goes for the Loaded Bolds.
Clay Crush - Pale Peachy Brown
Blushing Pout - Light Blue Toned Pink
Rich Ruby - Blue Toned Medium Red
Burgundy Blush - Deep Burgundy
All in all I think they're great new shades to add to the range. I think they're great for those (like me) with dry lips who want a creamy matte lip. However, if you're looking for a really longwearing, transfer proof formula then these aren't the ones.

Midnight Merlot is perfect for fall, I love every shade but this is my favourite! :)
