What's In My Holiday Makeup Bag?

Yep, I'm currently in stress mode. Going on a holiday abroad with a family of 6 is mega stressful, especially with a 1 year old who doesn't know the meaning of sitting still and being quiet for more than a minute at a time. Arghh! Anyway, we're going tomorrow (Thursday 19th), which means I'm pretty much sorted on the packing front. Surprisingly, choosing the contents of my makeup bag was actually one of the least stressful parts of preparing for my trip. I wanted to keep it minimal, with a glowy, bronzed base with a few different lip options. Here's what I settled on...

Base

Like I said, I want my base to be bronzed and summery, and I've been loving the SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Instant Glow Tan* as a base under my foundation. I probably won't be wearing much foundation through the day on holiday, so I'll probably use it on it's own, and as a base at night. It gives the most amazing bronzey glow without looking too much. For foundation on an evening, I want my base to be as dewy and healthy as possible, and I'm obviously going to be taking my newest love.. the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. The dewiest, most beautiful foundation that rivals even my high end favourite (YSL Touche Eclat). My concealer of choice is one of the newest to enter my stash; Rimmel's Match Perfection Concealer in Ivory. I don't want much powder as I like to keep the dewiest of foundations looking it's best, but for the areas where I do need a bit of powder, I'll use the NYX Studio HD Finishing Powder. It's super lightweight and translucent so it doesn't add anymore coverage.

Cheeks

Pretty bright hues are allll I want right now! I've been LOVING the Studio 10 Visible Lift Face Definer Contour Palette since I got it in the Ageless Beauty Box last month (post here). The contour shade is literally LIFE. The most perfect, ashy, matte brown that is the best at chiselling out my non-existent cheekbones. sigh. The cream blush and highlight are also amazing so it was a no brainer that it was coming with me on my travels. As another option to the pink blush, I'm also gonna take along my Bourjois Cream Sun Blush in 06 Tropical Coral. It's a lovely metallic coral that just looks fab with a tan (hoping I get one, ha).

Eyes

As always, I'll be using MAC's Painterly Paint Pot as a base as it's my favourite. I'm keeping it really simple here with just the one small palette. I've opted for the SEVENTEEN Easy On The Eye Palette in Birthday Suit*. It has a great mix of neutral shades, aswell as a couple of cream options so it should be all I need. The Urban Decay 24hr Glide On Double Ended Eye Pencil with Smoke & Black Velvet will be the only eyeliner coming with me. I love the Smoke end as it's not as harsh as a true black. Maybelline's Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara* is the newest in my stash and it's really impressed me. It doesn't say that it's waterproof but boy is it a tough one to remove. Thinking it will be great in the heat and the swimming pool etc. For brows, it has to be the Smashbox Brow Tech To Go in Brunette. By far my favourite eyebrow definer as it has the angled pencil at one end and a clear brow mascara at the other. Brows - done!

Lips

Ahh now you always need a few options here. I've opted for 2 of my favourite summery brights from MAC; Saigon Summer - a beautiful bright orange & Costa Chic - a bright coral pink. Both look amazing with a tan so excited to get my wear out of these. I've then gone for a nude lip combo with the NYX Slide on Lip Pencil in Nude Suede Shoes and one of my newest loves; Maybelline's Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nude Thrill*.

And I think that's it. Although no doubt I'll throw a couple more items in last minute 'just incase'

What would you take on holiday? Is there anything I've missed?
