Create Your Own Pizza | Pizzastorm Intu Eldon Square, Newcastle

I'm Kate, and I'm a pizza addict. Really I am.
When the team from PizzaStorm contacted me and asked if I'd like to come along with a plus one to try out their new menu, I obviously couldn't say no. I'd never even heard of them, but a quick search on their Instagram made me very excited to try it.

Located within Eldon Square's Grey's Quarter, PizzaStorm offers fast-fired pizzas with over 50 toppings to choose from. You can opt to either choose from the set menu, or create-your-own with an unlimited amount of toppings. What surprised me most was how affordable this menu was. £7.55 for an 11" base with unlimited toppings?  Move over Pizza Express hun...

Obviously we (my husband and I) both couldn't resist making our own, and we weren't disappointed.

Look at all those pizzas lined up, waiting to be blasted by the open fire.

So the process goes like this...

1. Choose your sides: We went for cheese & bacon loaded wedges to share.
2. Choose your pizza base: I opted for regular tomato.
3. Choose your cheese: I went for mozzarella, mozzarella balls and red leicester. #cheeseislife
4. Choose your veggie toppings: Obviously onions are a must, so I chose both caremelised and red onions and threw in a little garlic just incase I didn't stink enough.
5. Choose your meat: I have to have chicken on a pizza so I went for the chargrilled chicken. Then I also added some bacon & salami just to mix it up a bit.
6. Pay at the till.
7. Sit down, relax and wait for your pizza to arrive.

They're not shy with the cheese...

Obviously, during the busier times it's gonna take a bit longer to make, depending on the pizza queue. We waited about 10-15 minutes which I think is perfect. I love how the pizza oven is open so you can see them being cooked.

Look at those pizzas! How amazing! Now I'm usually a deep base kinda girl, and hate sloppy pizzas where I have to use a knife and fork. That wasn't the case at all with this. It was perfectly formed. A thin base with a backbone if you will. No cutlery needed, it held it's own even with all of those toppings. Superb!

The cheesy wedges were amazing too, but obviously I couldn't finish it all. We had to make room for dessert.

Warm cookie dough straight from the oven with a generous helping of vanilla ice cream. Absolutely bloody gorgeous!

They also offer a selection of alcohol and milkshakes too, but I would have exploded if i'd even had a sip of anything else.

I honestly can't pick any faults with our whole experience. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful Massive thanks to the team at PizzaStorm, we will definitely be paying them another visit in the near future.
